Our Commitment
BigISale is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML: Proper heading hierarchy, landmarks, and ARIA labels throughout the application.
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements (search bar, buttons, product cards, language switcher) are accessible via keyboard.
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio requirements in both light and dark modes.
- RTL Support: Full right-to-left layout support for Hebrew, Arabic, and other RTL languages.
- Responsive Design: The interface adapts to all screen sizes, from mobile devices to large desktop displays.
- Alt Text: Product images include descriptive alt text for screen readers.
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus states on all interactive elements for keyboard users.
Standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities.
Known Limitations
- Some product images from third-party retailers (Amazon, eBay) may lack detailed alt text.
- The image carousel in product cards may require additional screen reader optimization.
- AI-generated content (rankings, summaries) may occasionally use complex language.
